A .177" cast iron Dianawerk MGR first model air pistol, c 1892-1905, 8" overall, barrel 6¾" with screw in breech plug, of one piece construction, the foliate decorated frame incorporating the initials MG over R (Mayer & Grammelspacher, Rostatt), the cylindrical butt containing the air chamber, with pull out plunger cocked by means of a large brass knob, with faint traces of nickel plating overall.
