The East Anglian Provenance Collection of Roman Silver Denarii and Silver/Billon Antoniniani: A collection of 1790 Roman coins, housed in four Leuchtturm aluminium carry-cases of ten trays each. Coins are ticketed with find spots, references, provenances and dates of acquisition. Two additional box files of records are included. Most coins in this collection were found in East Anglia, with some scarce ones found further afield such as in Leicestershire and Yorkshire.
The majority of the coins are silver denarii, a few plated, also silver and billon antoniniani. Many highlights are to be found including scarce types and Emperors. Grades vary, the majority being collectable to high grade. Careful viewing in person, highly recommended.
This collection sold in its entirety, un-picked and complete, offers a unique opportunity to continue an academic and historical effort on the part of its original owner. The following examples are identified as per their Case 1-4, Tray 1-10 (top to bottom) and Space 1-48 (top left to bottom right): C# T# S#:
