Eddie Cochran/Gene Vincent signatures, "Love to Liz XXX Eddie Cochran", the reverse "Regards Gene Vincent".
Provenance; Obtained by our vendor when she met them staying at the Cobden Hotel in Birmingham in March 1960. They were playing at the Birmingham Hippodrome between the 7th and 12th March. Billed as a Fast Moving Beat Show it starred Joe Brown, Georgie Fame, Billy Fury, Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran. Cochran and Vincent were asked to leave the hotel they were staying at with the other musicians due to too many girls in their room so they staying at the Cobden. Our vendor was a resident there.
On the 17th April 1960 Cochran died in a car accident and Vincent was seriously injured on their way to the airport.
