1795 (Mar 12) Entire from London to "Thos. de Sausmarez, His Majestys Adj. Genl in Guernsey" franked by Daniel le Mesurier with a fine Free datestamp, and a bill from the Guernsey Postmistress Ann Watson for postage on letters to Thomas de Sausmarez between 16 Feb. and 5 April 1795, which includes 2d on March 16th, probably for the delivery of this franked letter. Also an 1816 letter from the Earl of Effingham to Francis Freeling complaining that M.Ps letters to Guernsey and Jersey are sometimes charged, sometimes not. (3).
