AN EDWARDIAN TWO-HANDLED CUP & COVER. of campana form, with a moulded girdle, a domed foot and the cover with a knop finial, inscribed on one side "21ST LANCERS POINT TO POINT RACES APRIL 5TH 1905 LIGHT WEIGHTS, 12 STONE WON BY MR G.N REYNOLDS B.G 'APOLLO' (OWNER)", and on the other side "THE GRAND MILITARY POINT TO POINT STEEPLECHASES MARCH 28TH 1906 LIGHT WEIGHT CUP 12 STONE WON BY MR G.N REYNOLDS (21ST LANCERS) B.G 'APOLLO' (OWNER)", on a turned wooden plinth, by Carrington & Co, London 1905; 13.75" (35cm) high; 80ozt. *CR Quite worn, the body quite dented & bruised with quite a bit of black pitting to the centre, the cover a bit creased, rocks on its foot quite a bit too.
