A FIRST WORLD WAR PAIR TO THE SOMERSET LIGHT INFANTRY. A Great War pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 40777 Pte W.G. Sutton Som L.I. William Sutton from Chard is recorded with the Somerset Light Infantry and Hampshire Regiment with number 09768. He was wounded on the 8th June 1918 and entitled to a wound stripe. With demobilization certificate from the Training Reserve Battalion of the Hampshire Regiment, dated 16th April 1920. With a red white and blue wool good luck figure and cap badge.
