USA, PCGS MS66 Mint Error 2001 $1. This coin hails from a time when the US mint was attempting to address issues with the heavy tarnishing of Sacagawea dollars when in circulation. To attempt a solution coins had applied an experimental rinse with an anti-tarnishing agent giving them a much more golden-brown appearance rather than the golden tone usually found. Only a few thousand of these coins are believed to exist and few seem to come to market. In presentation case with COA.
