1. Fathers WWI British War Medal and Victory Medal to 46288 Cpl H.Emerson R.A.F some discoloration otherwise extremely fine. With 2 copied pages of service record, Hubert Emerson served in France 01/04/17 - 22/03/19 and later transferring to RAF reserves 19/04/19.
2. Son's WWII Distinguished Flying Cross (1945), 1939-1945, Italy , Air Crew Europe Stars, Defence Medal and War Medal attributed to Warrant Officer 1172804 Herbert Dudley Emerson RAF, extremely fine. His DFC was announced in London Gazette 20th July 1945. With copied citation:
"Warrant Officer Emerson has successfully completed a large number of bombing sorties as flight engineer, the majority of which have been against heavily defended targets. This Warrant Officer is at present engaged on his second tour of operations in Bomber Command. Before being posted to 195 squadron he had completed an operational tour in Lancaster aircraft, during which he had taken part in a number of long night bombing raids including three sorties to Berlin, two to Modane, and exceptionally long flight to Friedrichsharen there after landing in North Africa. Since commencing his second operational bombing tour he has continued to display outstanding ability as a flight engineer, and has already participated in a number of day and night raids, including two operations of deep penetration to Dresden and Chemnitz on two consecutive nights. Warrant officer Emerson has set a magnificent example to other less experienced Flight Engineers and his stamina and courage in action have been to a very high order."

With copied Sqn records detailing the extensive operations which include attacks on Dortmund, Wanne Eickel, Dresden, Chemnitz, Wesel, Gelsenkirchen, Bocholt, accumulating a total of 36 sorties and 231.10 hours flown, portrait of Herbert in uniform, framed photo of squadron in front of aircraft, newspaper cut outs reporting on previously mentioned operations and Roll of Honour booklet.
3. Son's 1939-45, Italy, Africa Star, Defence Medal, War Medal attributed to 7885576 W/Corporal Rowland Arthur Emerson R.A.C. extremely fine. In original RAC box with transmittal slip addressed to Mr R.A. Emerson, Redhill. Also with Regular Army certificate of service detailing his enlistment on 15th February 1935 into the Royal Tank Corps, 11th November 1937 to Royal Armoured Corps and later transferring to the Army reserves on 1st April 1946, served in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia 11/11/37 to 28/8/43, then to Sicily & Italy 29/8/43 to 10/12/43, then UK until discharge. With large collection of photos in 2 albums showing the Egyptian Royal wedding, Royal Tank Corps passing the pyramids, extensive range of early armoured vehicles, people and scenery in Cairo, Jerusalem etc. postcards, book of autographs and written poem and range of badges.
