A collection of late 19th Century Burtles & Tate, engraved and pressed flint glass celery vases, tallest 24cm, a smaller vase with engraved flowers and lens cut bands, and a Burtles & Tate pressed and frosted glass muffin dish and cover. (7)
NB - Burtles, Tate, and Company operated glassworks in Ancoats, Manchester from 1858 to 1924, when they were absorbed into another Manchester glass company, Butterworth's. Manchester was one of the great pressed glass producing cities in the 19th Century and Burtles & Tate were one of five important glassworks whose works were highly prized.
No damage or restoration, condition commensurate with age and wear.
