1867 (July 27) Cover from Paris to Aden franked 80c with "ADEN STR POINT" arrival backstamp (Aug 16), redirected to Madras and carried on S.S "Orissa" to Bombay with boxed "ADEN / SHIP LETTER / Bearing (2as)" (Proud SL3, charged 1a postage + 1a ship letter fee), backstamped at Bombay, Madras and boxed "S.P.O No. 4 / MADRAS" of Teynampett Suburban P.O. A superb example of this very scarce Aden Ship Letter Bearing handstamp. Photo on Page 154.
