ICE COLD IN ALEX: an interesting post-war album of photographs compiled by a British serviceman, commencing at Blenheim barracks Aldershot, then to Tripoli and Cyprus, approx 180 b/w photographs of military life and surroundings, corner mounted, many with accompanying annotations, including a sequence of 9 personal photographs taken during the shooting of 'Ice Cold in Alex', Miani village (sic), includes John Mills 'taking a break between shots': 'Shiela (sic) Sims feeling the heat', etc, neatly arranged in oblong folio album of period, embossed soft red leather covers.
