A LATE 19TH CENTURY MEISSEN PORCELAIN CLOCK CASE, modelled with a seated putto reading, arm resting on the dial surround with items symbolising the arts, the dial with loose glass cover, enamel dial loose in mount, Arabic numerals, keyless wind 'Mercedes Clocks' German movement, rectangular plinth base hand painted with flowers and moulded decoration, height 23.5cm x width 24cm, comes with separate velvet covered plinth (Clock + glazed dial cover) (Condition Report: missing rear cover, professional restoration to several of the pieces symbolising the arts, movement not running)
