N.B. A disciple of Ramón Nadal, Miquel Llabrés specialised in painting highly evocative and reflective landscapes. He opened the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Balaguer and founded the Galería Bearn in La Palma. In 1980 he was made a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Sebastián.
