19th/20th CENTURY MIX: A box file containing an 1863-1909 accumulation of mail to or from foreign countries inc. an opened out 1865 env. from the USA franked with a 24c stamp reused to a UK address franked with a 1d red; an 1898 env. from Canada franked with two 1c stamps a few days after the introduction of the Imperial 1d postage rate; an 2½a postal stationery env. cancelled with a v. fine "MOMBASA/SP 1/95" Squared Circle; an 1895 D.L.O. env. from the USA; an attractive 1863 env. franked with a 6d Malta stamp; 17 envs. all franked with 5c British Guiana stamps cancelled with a variety of village cancels; and others from Griqualand, Tasmania, New South Wales, Turkey, Sweden, Germany, Egypt, Japan, Mexico, etc. Variable condition but mainly fine cancels.
