Qing dynasty, decorated with imperial dragons chasing a pearl against a pink ground, 24cm high, on an associated turned wood stand

Provenance: Thomas Child (1841 - 1898) was a pioneering photographer who produced a large body of photographs during his time in Beijing during the 1870âs. He was close to the Emperor and the court. The family believe a number of objects were gifts from the Imperial family.
