A 19th Century French 1866 pattern ' Chassepot ' rifle bayonet. The bayonet having ribbed brass hilt, muzzle ring and forward facing quillon. The recurved ' Yataghan ' style blade dated to the spine 1874 St Etienne. Housed in steel scabbard. Measures approx 70cm.
