A POTSCHAPPEL PORCELAIN DESK STANDISH, mid 19th century, of shaped oval form with integral oval well with inner liner and lift-off domed cover, painted in polychrome enamels with buildings in landscape, on a green and gilt leaf striped ground centred by a further similarly painted panel, impressed 9298 and printed mark, 10" wide (Est. plus 24% premium inc. VAT)
Cover and liner both good. Base sadly cracked in half and glued with minor losses, although as the crack run through a leafy stripe it isn't too noticable and could certainly be tidied up and re-glued.
