A C19th 'Eclipse' microscope no. 6184, of brass construction, on a cast iron base, in original wood box, this instrument was once the property of Bernard Elmhirst Esq, Plymouth, the inside of the box bears letter to Professor Elmhirst from the manufacturer giving details of the magnifying power of the eyepiece, 11½" high
