A 19th century Classical Revival alabaster, champlevé enamel and ormolu twin-handled sweetmeat comport, in the manner of Elkington & Co, saucer-shaped alabaster dish, Etruscan handles, reeded rim, pedestal base, decorated in alternating tones of turquoise, blue, red and black enamel, 15.5cm high, c. 1880
The alabaster saucer with a 1cm wide chip. Minor losses with age to enamel but nothing too drastic and still displaying well. Some surface scratches and wear.
