Obverse: haloed Archangel Michael slaying a dragon with a spear, heraldic cinquefoil to top, legend reads 'EDWARD x DEI x GRA x REXx ANGL x Zx FRANC x' with saltire stops. Reverse: ship with quartered shield to hull and cross above, 'E' to right and rose to left of mast. Heraldic cinquefoil mintmark precedes the legend which reads 'PER CRVCEM x TVA x SALVA x NOS x XPC x REDEMPT'. Weight: 5.08g. Diameter: 38.5mm.
