Stripped pine chest of drawers, with two short drawers above three long graduating drawers, each applied with Edwardian-style ribboned swags and with Regency-style ring handles, on plinth base, H98cm x W105cm x D52cm
This chest is probably early 20th century. It is structurally sound. The swagged decoration (which is soft, perhaps a plaster or gesso) is somewhat rubbed with a few scattered losses. The chest has been striped and remnants of old white paint are visible around the swagged ornament. There are some typical areas of surface scratching and wear and a split to one side. Some chipping, wear and scuffing to drawer mouldings. The Regency style ring handles are later replacements.
