Sword Pistol - a rare and desirable combination hunting sword and flintlock pistol, circa 1750. Blade 24" with single edge, broad central and narrow top fullers. Blade good with light rust staining. Staghorn grip with fluted "Bun" pommel. Back swept quillon (typical of German design). Canon Barrel fixed to blade, approx .45 calibre, of hexagonal form. Clamshell iron guard protects the barrel from damage. Flintlock action in VGC, crisp on 1st & 2nd cock. Straight trigger. A sleeper.
