Doulton Burslem blue scale pattern ground oviform vase, decorated with irises outlined in gilding, signed by J A Phillipps, circa 1900, printed green marks, incised shape no.828, 29cm high
The entire circumference of the upper rim has been cracked and restored and regilt and the blue ground retouched, and the area that has been lacquered extends down to the shoulder of the vase. The footrim has also been restored and regilt concealing at least two footrim chips, some minor wear overall.
