AN ENGLISH REGENCY MANTEL TIMEPIECE. Single train fusee movement with white enamel dial in a drum case flanked by 2 bronze reading figures on white marble base, 36cm wide.
Dial has unusual recess around winding hole. Drum case missing block and top finial. Figures missing the books that they should be holding. Case now has wooden feet in place of metal feet. Hands not original. Movement appears to be small for this diameter of drum and missing suspension block and pendulum.
