Alwyn R Coates, Beyond city limits, a massive seller for Athena back in the early 90’s, originally hand printed B/W image with a montage printed sky and mountains overprint in the darkroom, photoshop for retouching had not taken off so this was all done by hand, once printed it was hand coloured.
Shot on location in a country house in Surrey, again it was a series of shots taken on that day of which included a shack with an old car and the models and
“Kodak" the photographer Labrador. Who would have thought a Battersea Dogs home dog would be in a best selling Athena calendar and valentines cards, Beyond the city limits became a best seller of the 90’s selling millions of copies.
