James Symone Beveridge (born Catrine 1864 died Hurlford 1938) gilt framed oil on canvas, signed 'By The Lake' 60cm x 50cm Also signed again and inscribed on old label verso. Beveridge an Ayrshire artist is recorded in the dictionary of Scottish Art by Professor Peter J.M.McEwan as being undeservedly neglected.
