William I silver Penny, two stars type (1074-1077), London, Godwine (S 1254, North 845). Obverse: crowned and draped facing bust in a ring with stars to either side, '+PILELM REX II' around. Reverse: quadrilateral over cross botonee (pellet apexes) within a circle, '+GODPINE ON LVND' around. Weight: 1.13g. Diameter: 18mm. Grade: aVF - bold details with eye appeal, slightly grainy texture under strong magnification, otherwise around Very Fine.
