RARE 19THC LACHENAL & CO DUET CONCERTINA - BOXED. A large and unusual 12 sided Lachenal & Co 72 button concertina with ebonised fret work ends and leather bellows. With 40 buttons on one side, 32 to the reverse, with a makers plaque on one side and Model Number 2364 on the other side, and in it's original case with Lachenel label. With some bits inside including a postcard of Alexander Prince, with writing underneath 'This concertina made by Lachenel & Co, 4 Little James St, London. 25.5cms square, case 29cms high, 28cms across.
Fret work ends, both ends have some surface cracks that have happened over time, the leather bellows seem generally fine, the concertina seems to working and makes a good noise when opened and closed.
