John O’Connor, a Castleshane local, dedicated years of research to uncovering the history of the area. His passion for the subject led him to create the Castleshane History website, which is now maintained in his memory by his daughter, Fionnuala O’Connor. As an 83-year-old newcomer to the world of the internet, John’s interest in Castleshane’s history stemmed from his deep connection to the area.
