Welsh school (early 19th century),
An oval half length portrait of a young girl in traditional dress circa 1830,
Watercolour on paper,
11cm x 8cm,
Convex glazed ebonised frame

Provenance: Property of 7th Baron Harlech, The Lord Harlech, Glyn & Brogyntyn Estates

More Information

The paint surface shows no obvious damage, however the paper has darkened somewhat and the colours may have faded slightly over time. The glass shows two small but visible scratches in the centre, with further fine surface wear throughout. The ebonised frame shows extensive surface scratching, surface wear, and areas of white residue. It also appears to have lost its hanging ring.
