Purdey & Sons", number 5650, 43¾" overall, replacement barrels 28" by Cogswell & Harrison Ltd, 94 Queen St, Exeter, with B'ham nitro proofs; signed frame with nice quality scroll engraving and with gold inlaid automatic top safety; dark walnut stock with vacant oval silver escutcheon. GWO & C the bores good, (right barrel fails to eject, some external patches of rust staining to barrels); in its brass bound canvas covered case with maker's trade label, containing ebony cleaning rod and brushes (case externally dirty with some moth to the lining).
