LARGE PAIR OF SEVRES STYLE LIDDED VASES. A large pair of 19thc Sevres style lidded vases, with a panel to each side and painted with a bird perched amongst flowers on one side, the reverse with cherubs within a landscape scene, with rich gilding on a bleu celeste ground. With dome top lids with gilded finials, various damages. With Sevres style painted marks to the base. 49.5cms high. (2). *CR One vase, lid - small crack from the rim (3cms long, firing crack to the underside of the lid, finial has been off and repaired, the lid does not quite sit flush to the vase so the lid or top of the vase might be slightly warped. Vase - wear to the rim, panels have some black spotting to the surface on both sides, the screw underneath needs tightening as the vase revolves around at the moment.
The other vase, lid has been completely broken and stuck back together (not very well, glue is visible on the top and underneath), worn in places to the gilding. Vase - various cracks visble to the inside of the rim, rim quite worn, some discolouration around the neck, panels both have black spotting to the surface and the panel with the birds has some lines running across it, crack to the bottom of the top section where it joins the base (4cms long), base rim with repaired chip.
