ON OVERSEAS MAIL - TO GB "OVERLAND VIA CEYLON"; Attractive 10 Mar. 1851 E (family contents; folds neatly internally reinforced with archival tape) from Mahebourg to Essex endorsed "By overland via Ceylon" with very fine matching blue boxed "PAID." (beside ms "2/4d" - the outgoing Ship Letter rate) and "MAHEBOURG/MAR 1851" marks nicely placed on the front.
