Railway. L.M.S. Locomotives-Named and unnamed. A superb collection of commercial black and white prints. The prints have been collected over many years and are housed in a vintage steel filing cabinet, with 9 steel drawers. We will be selling off the contents of each drawer over the next couple of auctions and then the empty filing cabinet will be sold. The second drawer (not included) contains approx. 1600, black and white, postcard size prints from various sources, including: R.K. Blencowe, Locofotos, C.R.L. Coles, Frank Hornby, K.C.H. Fairey, L. Hanson, Real Photograph Co. etc. The prints are sorted into L.M.S. classes and importantly they are in number order. Each class has a typed card with details of loco number, build date and withdrawal date. Sections include: Princess Royals, Royal Scots, Patriots, Coronations and Jubilees. There are photos of EVERY member of each class, in most cases there are more than 1 photograph. Rare opportunity! Most/all of the prints are captioned. Copyright is not on offer. Sample illustrated.
