Four vintage Austrian botanical teaching charts by Qurin Haslinger, mid 20th century, depicting Seed Vetch, Field Poppy, Meadow Sage and Armeria Pink, paper mounted on linen with wooden batons to top and bottom, each 93cm x 67cm; with a similar Swedish botanical teaching chart by Johnston's New Botany Charts depicting Strawberry, 98cm x 68cm (5)
All the charts show some rippling to the surface due to rolling (this might relax over time). All show varying degrees of chips, losses, creases and staining to the vertical edges. There is also the odd fox mark. The Johnston's chart shows a greater degree of age-related yellowing than the other four.
