A pair of Doulton Lambeth stoneware cups and matching jug with silver rims, by William Baron, with relief moulded foliate decoration, incised marks to the base and dated 1876, the jug measuring 23cm high. [William Baron was an ambitious designer and a specialist in pâte-sur-pâte items. He only worked for Doultons for about 8 years, before joining C H Brannam in Devon, and then establishing his own pottery.]
