An Early 19th Century Russian Silver Twin Handled Cup & Cover, Peter Moller, St Petersburg 1829. Assay Master Mikail Mikhailovich Karpinsky. Cylindrical form with pull off cover featuring a chased floral border with laurel wreath ring finial opening to a reveal a gold washed interior. The laurel wreath rimmed main tapering body with applied vignettes depicting a Roman chariot pulled by a putti with the opposing vignette depicting a Seated Roman with Putti. Sitting on a knopped pedestal conical base with conforming chased floral border. Height: 15.5cm x Width 15.5cm: Gross weight: 374g (12oz)
