Baldwin (Stanley, 1867-1947). An original typed letter on Treasury embossed paper, signed by Stanley Baldwin, dated 28th February 1923, written while he was Chancellor of the Exchequer, to Sir Charles Wakefield (Founder of Castrol Lubricants, philanthropist and once Mayor of London), letter thanking him for a copy of his speech about his visit to America (as head of the British Delegation for the promotion of Anglo American friendship), 19cm x 24cm approx., letter tipped-in onto card for display purpose, with original envelope. Baldwin was the British Prime Minister on three occasions.
