Mahogany eight day longcase clock with substantial five pillar movement, the 12" brass arched dial signed Eardley Norton, St John's Street, London on a silvered arched plate over a rolling moon calibrated to show age of the moon and high water at London Bridge, the silvered chapter ring enclosing a matted centre with subsidiary silvered seconds dial and blued steel hands, also with subsidiary calendar and strike/silent dials to the upper corners under rococo gilded spandrels, the five pillar movement with Graham deadbeat escapement and rack striking on a bell, the Cuban mahogany case with long beaded moulded edged door over the base with bracket feet surmounted by a wavy apron, the arched moulded hood with dentil carved cornice over a canted corners mounted with ormolu female terms and trailing foliage, surmounted by three flame turned brass finials, 89" high
