The panel is loose in its frame, which is probably a later addition. The paint surface shows wear to all four edges. There are several surface scratches to the right of the figure, the longest 9cm long. UV examination reveals evidence of restoration down the length of a crack or join in the panel. The back of the panel has been extensively reinforced in the relatively recent past.
