There is evidence to suggest that the painting may have been re-laid at some point in the past. The paint surface shows fine craquelure throughout. Inspection under UV reveals evidence of light restoration and re-touching. The paint surface shows some small spots of white residue, and would benefit from cleaning. The frame appears structurally sound, but shows wear to the gilt highlights.
