TWO SIMILAR M1866 PATTERN CHASSEPOT SWORD BAYONETS AND SCABBARDS. A bayonet and scabbard with a 57cm serpentine blade with broad back, engraved for Hekelin Bitschiviller (?) February 1868, with forward facing quillon, numbered 5991, brass ribbed grip, in steel scabbard numbered indistinctly. Another similar dated 1874, numbered 55429, the scabbard 85027. 71.5cm overall. *CR General wear and pitting t surfaces. springs function correctly.
