Austrian painter, graphic artist, stage designer of the 20th century. Studied from 1957 to 1964 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Sergius Pauser and Herbert Boeckl. Contact with representatives of the Viennese School of Fantastic Realism such as Ernst Fuchs and Anton Lehmden. Developed a pictorial language, builds up images from colors and forms. Lives and works in Sonndorf near Maissau in Lower Austria. Oil paintings, graphics, collages, silkscreen and lithography with mainly landscapes from the Waldviertel, Weinviertel and still life. Motifs such as houses, architecture and seasons.

Korab grew up in Falkenstein in the Weinviertel and experienced the terrible events of the Second World War as a child, which has shaped his art to this day. After graduating from high school, he went to the capital to study at the Academy of Fine Arts with Sergius Pauser. During his student years he moved in the circle of the then strongly dominant "Vienna School of Fantastic Realism". Korab arrived at his unique style in the late 1960s when he began to experiment with different materials such as polyester, printmaking, screen printing and lithography, as well as elements from nature.
