Scottish Postal History; 1856 (31 May) cover Edinburgh to St. Andrews franked by Penny Red Star cancelled by very fine strike of the rare Edinburgh Experimental Duplex cancel (number above date, with space between circle and bars). Envelope is printed OHMS for the Highland and Agricultural Society and has filing annotations at left. Smudged St Andrews backstamp in green.
