Chinese silver hot water jug, late 19th century, the hinged lid with naturalistic branch finial, matching loop handle on a planished bulbous body decorated in relief with prunus, stamped to base with Wang Hing mark, 633g, H22.5cm.

The base of the handle is loose from the body at the join, the lid wiggles ever so slightly, there is a large shallow dint in the belly which is difficult to see due to its position within the decoration.
