EARLY 20TH CENTURY IRAQI SILVER AND NIELLO OBJECTS
Of compressed circular form, raised on a pedestal circular foot. The sides adorned with finely executed niello decoration, featuring the Tomb of Ezra, boatmen in gufa, dhow sailing boats, and palm trees. Signed to the side: دخيل عمل (Amal’e Dakheel | the work of Dakheel).

Another salt of hemispherical form, raised on three short ball feet, decorated with niello scenes depicting the shrine of Imam Musa Ibn Ja’afar in the city of Al-Kadhimiya, a sheep, a pair of hunters in a boat shooting at a boar, and two sailors in a mashoof boat. Possibly signed Omara, Abed Al Ghani.
Also with an unsigned pepper pot, of double trapezoid form, set upon a square base with a screw thread, the niello decoration featuring unusual scenes including a mudhif.
