SPECTACULAR IMPERF. CARTIER 10d BLUE ADVERTISING COVER TO G.B. "VIA HALIFAX"; Colourful and very rare 14 July 1855 orange paper env. (some edge wear and with faults on reverse but most attractive) from London (C.W.) to G.B. "Via Halifax" with a fancy blue embossed "OPERATIVE CHEMIST" corner advert at top left franked by 4-margin Cartier Imperf. 10d Blue (SG15, close to wide margins; early usage for this stamp) tied by a faint target cancel and also by a fine red tombstone-framed "PKT. LETTER/PAID/LIVERPOOL" d.s. (29 July; carried by the Cunard SS America) with "LONDON/C.W." cds on the front and three GB backstamps. Rare Cartier Advertising Cover.
