Midland Rly oak upholstered matching office chairs - these are far from plain - carved "MR" on top rail, very Arts & Crafts/Gothic revival design with fluted tapered front feet, both have loose joints & missing detail however with restoration will make a very handsome pair of dining room chairs, recovered from Burton on Trent 1st Class Waiting Room when station was being modernised .
