A French silver chocolatier, marked on the lid and body with a Fleur-de-lis also marked to the neck and lid with a standard 1st Minevrva mark post 1838, the pear shaped body decorated with part spiralled, scales and scrolls, cast covered spout in the form of a sea monster's head with gaping mouth, domed hinged lid, with scrolled thumb piece, turned rosewood handle, engraved with interlocking S's below a coronet, the whole raised on three cabriole legs with monster capped feet, 14cm, 250gms., (8ozs.)
