Xmas day 1914 casualty's 1914 Star trio to 1608 Pte D. Flockhart 6/R. Scots (R. Scots on pair) very fine and better. David Flockhart was killed in action attached to 8th Bn on 25th December 1914 and with no known grave is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial.
With 2 copied pages of service record, CWGC, and Soldiers Died, he was born in Dalkeith, enlisted 1913 aged 17. According to CWGC, he was the only member of the Bn killed that day. (R)
